"As a horse trainer of 17 years I have spent a lot of time studying horses and the best trainers in the world to improve my skills and make myself as versatile as possible. I have worked with hundreds of horses from almost every breed you can think of; Mules, Minis, Drafts, Arabs the list goes on. I have worked with a lot of problem horses and have had much success with everything from racers to buckers and biters.
One day I was introduced to a nice little Poco Bueno mare that needed to be started. The first two lessons went really well and she was progressing very fast. The third lesson I was riding her next to a fence when a dog spooked her and she broke in two. I rode broncs professionally for 13 years and I can tell you she bucked. She slipped and fell on me and broke my rib. After that, every time I worked with her she went on the fight. I couldn't even saddle her without snubbing her to a post. I threw everything I had at her and was out of tricks.
One of my other clients told me to call Wylene. I knew of her from high school rodeo, but I knew her sister and mother a lot better then I did her. When I brought the mare to Wylene I was eager to learn because I new of the reputation of the Wilson family.
I try to always be a student of the art and keep an open mind, but I was not prepared for what I was about to learn. Within a half hour of the session Wylene saddled the mare with out even having a halter on her.
By the end of the morning, the horse was off to a great start and I was still trying to stop tripping over my jaw. I took what Wylene was gracious enough to show me and I continued to use it . Now this mare is getting about 5 miles a day and is well on her way to being the great cow horse she was bred to be.
Since I have worked with Wylene I have used the laying down method on several other horses and it is working with them all. Thank you Wylene and I look forward to spending more time learning what is working so well for you."

"I wanted to say Thank You for helping me out with Chexy, my 5 year old who had become more lawn art than the horse she could be.
I had a friend of yours work her and she was giving him some big problems. Neither of us could figure out just what was causing the problem (bucking for no reason).
am a bit old to hit the ground as hard as she could have thrown me so I agreed with my trainer when he told me what you could do with a horse.
I was pretty sure I was going to see the same old fight come out in Chexy when she got in your round pen. But just after you started to work with her I saw the horse I knew was under all the buck. Both Jeremy and I turned to each other with that
"how that heck did she do that" look on our faces when she stood
still without being tied up or having a halter on her and let you
put a saddle on her. Then in under an hour of work you stood in the saddle on her back. I still have that photo saved in my phone and am showing it off to as many people as I get the chance to.
You truly are a very gifted and talented person. I have never seen anyone work a horse with as much patience and understanding as you did.
I know a lot of cowboys who still think the best way to train a horse is to break it. Well they can think that, but they are in the dark and really should step into the light. You opened a whole new book of horse understanding for me.
We are now working Chexy by riding her on trails, around traffic, past gates, ditches and construction with no problems. My trainer will be taking Chexy to start her on cattle in the near future.
At some point when my work allows me I would like to attend more training with you, to make me a better rider.
Thank you again for giving me the horse I knew I had but just couldn't find.
If anyone reads this and is still not sure they want to have Wylene work with their horse
, get in touch with me and I will be more the happy to tell you more about how we were either going to send my horse to Wylene or call a couple of stock contractors and talk about prices for a bucking horse. I
n closing if you want the best for you and your horse then get out to Wylene's place and she will take care of you and your horse and you will be grateful you did.
Thank you again Wylene, you are the best."

I am a 50 year old mother and wife in New Mexico that works full time. I just started riding horse a few years ago after moving to New Mexico from Boston, Massachusetts. When I started I knew nothing about horses. My husband and I volunteered at an Equine Rescue Ranch to see how to take care of horses and to see what was involved in their care. We decided that was a lifestyle we wanted. We then adopted 2 horses and 2 mules and started our riding careers.
One was a rescue that was just a yearling when we adopted her she is now 2 ½ years old; I have worked with her on the ground since she was 8 months old. I was at a point where I was stuck in what to do next. This horse (Alex) is a very alpha mare along with being alpha of the heard. I have had her under saddle for a year and had just started sitting on her in the round pen. However, I really did not know what to do next and after being thrown I decided to contact a professional.
I saw Wylene's website and contacted her. Wylene asked me what my goal was with this horse. I told her I was getting older and wanted to be one with her and have her lay down so I could get on her even when I was in my 70's. She showed me that my dream could come true.
Wylene came for a visit and showed me how to lay Alex down. That was the most incredible experience to have with your horse. Wylene then proceeded to saddle Alex ride her walking and trotting. She then laid her down with her saddle on, straddle over her and had Alex get up and ride off with her on her back. I could not believe that was my horse! After that Wylene stood up on Alex's back on the saddle, my horse just stood there. I was speechless.
Wylene has giving me a new confidence that I did not know I had. After Wylene left the next day I took Alex to the round pen and laid her down by myself and it is the most incredible experience to have with your horse. Alex and I have a new understanding and it has changed her in a very good way. I know we will have many more moments and trust and take care of each other. I also know my dream and goals can come true as I saw them with my own eyes.
I thank Wylene for all the encouragement and guidance and look forward to taking many more sessions with her.

"I'm a middle aged wife and mother of two young boys. I had come to a point in my life that I wanted to do something for myself. That something was buying a horse. Little did I know there was much more to owning and riding a horse than I thought. I quickly learned I had not done my homework, when we bought our horses. After a few scary falls and endless spooky rides, I knew I couldn't continue down the one way road I was traveling because it was getting me no where real fast and my middle aged body couldn't take too many more falls. With my confidence at ground zero and my fear factor reaching new heights I needed help, serious help!
Over the course of a year I participated in two 3-day horsemanship clinics, with two very well known clinicians. We spent thousands of dollars on clinician fees, DVDs, saddles and tack and still I walked away without an ounce of confidence. I thought my dream of owning a horse had come to an abrupt end until I met Wylene Wilson. Within five minutes of watching her ride, I knew I had found my answer to confidence. I was so
intrigued I stayed and watched her ride countless problem horses one right after the other. Never before in my life have I seen anybody ride like her.. let alone a woman.
My first riding lesson was incredible! I definitely walked a lot taller that day, for my confidence level in my ability to ride was already up a few notches. Trail riding with Wylene is a huge confidence builder. Wylene gives a new meaning to trail riding. We're talkin' mega fun! Never did I think I'd be loping down a trail hootin' and hollering, like a banshee. It's been over two years, since my first lesson and I've NEVER gotten off any horse due to fear. I ride through every obstacle we encounter because I trust my riding capability. I used to feel safest on the ground. Matter of fact for a while the only thing I could do with my 12 year old mare was groundwork. I was too afraid to ride. Now I feel safest under saddle. When the horse apples hit the fan, I know I can handle it.
Wylene has "boot camped" every horse I have ridden. Some horses were only "boot camped" once, others two or three times. The point I'm trying to make is that I trust any horse that Wylene has ridden and tells me it is safe to ride. The life long experience Wylene has with horses has given her such an amazing ability to read them. It's almost mystical to watch her work, with a horse. Her remarkable abilities make her seem like she is a horse and knows what they are thinking. I sit here laughing as I say this because
there is no other explanation other than Wylene is part equine.
Each and every horsewoman and horsemen should be blessed with having Wylene
in their lives. The confidence you will gain, in your riding will also spill over to other aspects of your life. Wylene's positive attitude, dedication and fun loving sense of humor are contagious. Wylene certainly is a life changer and dream maker."
